Time Delay vs Fast Acting Fuse

Fast Acting Fuse: mostly used in circuit boards, it will melt instantly as long as the current exceeds its rated value. Mainly used for short-circuit protection of semiconductor rectifier components or rectifier devices.

Time Delay Fuse: The current of some circuits at the moment of switching is several times greater than the normal working current. Although the peak current is very high, it appears for a very short time. Fast acting fuses cannot withstand this impact current, but time delay fuses can. Its fuse is specially processed and has the function of absorbing energy. Adjusting the amount of energy absorption can make it both withstand the impact current and provide protection against overload. Mainly used to protect wires and cables.
